Packing!

It's 2015 and almost time to leave!  We moved our things in to storage, finished up school and work and now just doing last minute packing to leave on Wednesday.  Packing for warm weather in SE Asia was easy.  Packing for sailing, trekking, sightseeing, etc. in all sorts of weather is a little trickier! We've been working off a packing list for a while.

Packing and prepping for this trip has been easier though than when I was doing this from Germany while also working and preparing to move everything back to the US.  I am so thankful for our families for their support and assistance!  It has made this experience so much easier!  And bouncing travel ideas off Mark has been great.  We are leaving with only about 4 weeks planned so we will have a lot of flexibility which hopefully will work in our favor.

Thanksgiving nordic skiing adventures with most of Mark's family.
A life-sized gingerbread house in Loveland with my parents.
The chaos and fun of packing!
We had a wonderful last dinner with Mark and my parents at our ol favorite hole in the wall Thai place in Aurora before heading to the airport for our late (early?) flight at 0120.  I'll end with my two favorite and well-known travel quotes:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”  - Mark Twain (supposedly)

“Not all those who wander are lost.”  - J.R.R. Tolkien
